1. Who we are and what you accept

Dozzitt is an iPhone and Android app that helps you keep track of your medicines and reminds you when to take them. It is offered by Cedric Alejandro Borreguín Ortega (“Dozzitt”, “we”); their details are on Who is behind it.

By downloading or using the app you accept these terms. If you don't agree with them, don't use it.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, free, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, under these terms and the rules of the App Store or Google Play, depending on where you got it.

The app, its name, logo and design are ours. You may not sell it, copy it for distribution or reverse-engineer it, except as far as applicable law expressly allows.

3. Acceptable use

You can use Dozzitt to track your own medicines and those of people or pets in your care. If you record someone else's medicines, make sure you have their permission or are their carer.

Don't use the app for illegal purposes or try to interfere with how it works.

4. Your data is your responsibility

Everything you record is stored only on your phone; we don't have a copy. If you lose the phone, reset it or uninstall the app without a backup, that data is lost and we can't recover it. Nor can we recover a protected backup if you forget its passphrase. We recommend turning on backups. See the privacy notice for details.

5. Reminders can fail

We do everything we can to make every reminder arrive on time, but we can't guarantee it. Whether a reminder arrives depends on the operating system and the phone, not only on the app. A reminder may be late or not arrive if:

• the system or the manufacturer's battery saver stops or delays the app;
• you turned off notifications, exact alarms or another permission;
• the phone is off, out of battery, or restarted and the app hasn't been able to re-arm its reminders;
• the volume, silent mode or a Focus mode keeps it from sounding;
• the phone's date, time or time zone is wrong.

6. Test versions

The beta versions we distribute through TestFlight or Google Play closed testing are pre-release versions. They may have bugs, change without notice or stop working when they expire. Back up often while using them.

7. No warranty

The app is offered free of charge and “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty that it will work without interruption or errors, or that it fits a particular purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for damage arising from a reminder that didn't arrive or arrived late, a dose taken, missed or repeated, health decisions made based on the app, or the loss of data stored on your phone.

None of the above limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, in particular for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

9. Your rights as a consumer

These terms don't limit your rights under Mexico's Federal Consumer Protection Law or Colombia's Consumer Statute (Law 1480 of 2011). Where any part of these terms conflicts with those laws, the laws prevail.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. We will publish the new version on this page with its date and, if the change is significant, announce it in the app's release notes. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new version.

Once Dozzitt Plus exists, its subscription terms will be published on a separate page before you can buy it.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. Any dispute will be settled before the competent courts of Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico, without prejudice to your right to go to PROFECO, the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio or the courts of your place of residence where consumer protection law grants it.
